Growing up in South Africa during apartheid and witnessing the dawn of a new democratic society was a miracle in itself. However, the untold damage caused by long-standing oppression and segregation destroyed the very fibre of South African society. Join me as I reflect on my journey during and after the end of apartheid, my struggles and the hope we carry for our future generation.
Dr. Maud Mthembu
Maud Mthembu is a lecturer of Social Work at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Her research interest include children and Health, vulnerable children and marginalized childhoods as well as children’s rights.
